Hope you are all well. So today we are bringing to you Parisian styling for parties, the beauty of this style is that works for so many different events – weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, nights in and even corporate events.
I hosted my annual girlie sleepover last night and of course being a wedding & events stylist i love theming my girls nights in to bring a little something extra! So i decided on a really pretty and girlie Parisian style! It was a great hit and the girls loved it! I’m actually quite sad that i have to take it all down today! lol
So just being a sleepover i decided to just make my dining table a feature point as opposed to decorating the whole apartment. I opted to go with the traditional colours associated with a Parisian theme of Black, White, Pink and Gold.
I did lots of food for the girls and did also include some French foods in order to continue with the theme, we had crackers and Saint Agur cheese and also some French Emmental Cheese. We had baguette’s and pâtè which went down a treat! I also bought Macaroons which the girls absolutely loved! We had the usual buffet food but i thought it would be a nice touch to add in some French flavour to bring in the theme! It was definitely a good idea and went down very well! – Don’t forget the champagne or French Wine!
So we covered the table with our black sequin tablecloth, we then laid over the pink sequin table runner and straight away the Parisian feel was coming out. We had the idea a few weeks at to bring in some beautiful feminine balloons for the event and Mother half of styled by Starlet, Tina, has been hard at work creating these 2 beauties. We opted for black and pink and tulle over the balloons to stay in keeping with the theme.
We decided to get out our beautiful manzanita tree out and have it as the main focal point on the table, i have to stay it looked so beautiful and really did bring the look together nicely. We draped crystals around it and also little fairy lights. Gorgeous pink ribbon and little pink rose heads completed the look and the girls absolutely loved it!
Of course the theme was Parisian Chic and Paris isn’t Paris without the stunning Eiffel Tower, so we incorporated 2 of our Eiffel Tower statues onto the table decor which absolutely made the the look and is definitely something we recommend if you are looking to do this theme yourself.
Pink votives, sparkly gold crystal candle holders and a ribbon tied Coco Chanel bottle were the little touches and completed the table. They all added in the beautiful feminine and chic charm we were looking for. It’s always in the little details where you can really build up a look and turn into a truly beautiful wow factor. You don’t even have to have a huge budget to style a great look that creates a lasting impression. If you ensure you have one of 2 focal points and spend your money on these areas to create something amazing it really works so well.
We used our gold charger plates so serve the food on and also the beautiful 2 tiered cupcake stand to display the macaroons and french fancies. Another great and easy touch – use gorgeous martini glasses to put in some nibbles. We put in pink bon bons but you can put in whatever you like.
Pink flowers bought even more pretty to the room and it all tied in so well to create the perfect Parisian sleepover! The girls all loved it and the food and drink was flowing all night and we had such a wonderful evening!
