Style Series: White Wedding
It’s been a while!! In between holidays and hen parties I have been very busy!! But the style series is back today with a look at having a white wedding scheme.
White is such a chic and beautiful colour and I actually adore the styling of an all white wedding. I know many brides shy away from this as they want the only white to be the dress, however if you are bold enough to work all white I will be sharing some inspiration and style tips for you today.

White is very elegant, classy and clean so you need to keep that in mind when deciding on decor options. If you are going for an all white ceremony area then consider plain white chiavari chairs, or if the budget doesn’t allow then you can hire white chair covers. Keep the altar clean and crisp with a simple white tablecloth. To add the wow factor you can have large white floral decor or line the aisle with white rose petals, a white aisle runner is a great alternative if you are watching the budget.

The reception is always a key place for wow factor and a white wedding reception works wonderfully well for dazzling your guests. Think clean white tables adorned with stunning flower centerpieces. Using clear glass vases and large floral displays is always eye-catching and can work very well if you’re on a budget. It is much better to invest your money in a few larger pieces as these really will stand out more. If you can’t afford every table then consider doing alternate tables.
Hanging chandeliers in marquees will add a touch of glam and really be a wonderful talking point.

A white colour palette can be very scary at first. It is actually a very bold choice but will really help to make your wedding stand out. Don’t be afraid to face the challenge head on, whatever your budget this look can be pulled off. White wedding cake, white bouquet and even an all white sweetie buffet! If the thought of total white is a little scary then consider mixing touches of a nature green here and there – works especially well with the flowers.

Continue with the all white trend by dressing your beautiful bridesmaids in white. This may go against the tradition – but then by choosing an all white wedding design you are pretty much going against tradition and striking out with a modern feel. I actually think bridesmaids in white look amazing!! The trend has actually started to grow thanks to numerous celebrities including Kate Middleton, Kim Kardashian and Kate Moss choosing to dress their ladies in white -! Don’t worry you are the bride so you will still stand out. If your dress is off white it can really show it off well by having your girls in white.

If you are brave enough you can go as far as imposing an all white dress code for the bridal party and your VIP wedding guests such as family and close friends! Solange Knowles had some incredible artsy photos at her wedding of her guests all in white and they were amazing!
