The 1920’s razzle dazzle and gorgeous style really does work so well for parties!  It’s a great way of adding that wow factor so many people look for at their weddings.

Let your guests get a taster of the Gatsby theme right from the get go by having your wedding stationer design your invitations with that Gatsby flair.  Gold metallic lettering, fancy designs and that famous Gatsby font will have your guests really excited as soon as they open your invites!  Having the invites and save the dates done in the Gatsby style ensures consistency throughout the wedding which does all build up to the wow factor of the big day!

Black & Gold tend to be the colours most associated with Gatsby, however if black is not really your cup of tea for a wedding colour then there are plenty of other ways to style your wedding reception in the Gatsby glamour.  Gold mixed with creamy/champagne tones works very well and keeps it light and feminine.

If you’re wanting to go more for the traditional Gatsby Glam then black and gold is for sure the way to go!  Remember over the top works for Gatsby, as long as it’s done tastefully.  Big feather filled centrepiece work so well here and give some serious wow factor!  If you don’t have the budget for that then consider candelabra’s with floral decoration, plenty of sparkle furthers adds to the glam factor.

This wedding theme really is one of the most glamorous and extravagant and you can really have fun with it!  Your guests will feel as though as they have partied the night away at Jay Gatsby’s mansion and it will be a party they talk about for a long time.

The love story of Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan is the focus of this novel though, just as your romance is the focus of your big day.  The party and the extravagance that comes with this theme is just an amazingly glam way to celebrate your love with all your friends and family.  If you are on a tighter budget then focus your money on certain aspects and create a few amazing wow pieces, this will work much better than having small things dotted around as they will get lost in the room.  The wow factors work much better.  Consider a champagne tower near the entrance or have 2 amazing feather decor centerpieces on a desert table.
